Welcome to Priority!

Your privacy matters to us — genuinely. We're a small, bootstrapped team, and the only reason we collect anything is to make Priority work well for you. This policy explains what we collect, why, who we share it with, and the control you have over it. By using Priority, you agree to this policy.

1. Information We Collect

• Account information: Your name and email address when you sign up, and your sign-in details (we use Google's Firebase to handle authentication securely).
• The content you create: Your calendars, events, tasks, habits, and notes. This is yours — we store it so the app can show it back to you and keep it in sync.
• Circles (shared habit groups): If you join a Circle, we store the messages you send and any check-in photos or notes you share, so your group can see them.
• Connected services: If you connect an integration like Google Calendar, Outlook, or Canvas, we store the data needed to sync your events (see the Google Calendar section below for the details).
• Notifications: If you turn on push notifications, we store the technical subscription details your browser or device gives us so we can send them.
• Device & usage information: Your device type, IP address, browser type, and general usage data.
• Usage analytics: General patterns like how often you open the app, which pages you visit, and which features you use. We do not track the content of your events, habits, tasks, or messages through analytics.
• Optional things you tell us: Like how you heard about us ("referral source") or feedback you send — only if you choose to share them.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To make Priority work for you — your calendar, tasks, habits, and Circles all rely on your data to function.
• To send you updates, confirmations, and occasional tips (you can opt out anytime).
• To understand how people use Priority so we can make it better.
• To keep Priority secure and to fix problems when they come up.
• We may use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in and to understand general usage patterns.

3. Sharing Your Information

We never sell your data. We only share it in two cases: with the trusted services that help us run Priority, and with integrations you choose to connect.

The services we rely on to operate Priority include:

• Supabase — our database and file storage.
• Firebase (Google) — account sign-in and security.
• Vercel — hosting our app.
• PostHog and Umami — product analytics.
• New Relic — performance monitoring.
• Email delivery services (such as Resend and Google/Gmail) — to send you account and product emails.
• Google Maps — to look up locations when you add them to events.
• Discord — if you send us in-app feedback, it may be routed to our team there.

These providers only get the data they need to do their job, and they're not allowed to use it for anything else. The list may change as we grow; we'll keep this section up to date.

Your data is also used with any integrations you connect, like Google Calendar and Outlook, so they can sync with Priority.

4. Analytics and Tracking

We use PostHog and Umami to understand general usage patterns — things like how often people open the app, which pages are visited, and which features are used. We don't track the content of your events, habits, messages, or any personal information through analytics. This data helps us figure out what's working and what needs to be fixed. We don't sell this data or share it with advertisers. You can turn analytics off in your privacy settings, and if you want your analytics data deleted, just email us at support@joinpriority.app.

5. Your Rights and Choices

No matter where you live, you can:

• Access, update, correct, or delete your data at any time.
• Ask us for a copy of the data you've put into Priority.
• Opt out of marketing emails.
• Turn off analytics in your settings.

Depending on where you live — for example, California or the EU/UK — you may have some additional rights under local privacy laws, like the right to object to certain processing or to lodge a complaint with a regulator. We're happy to honor those too.

6. Children's Privacy

Priority is not intended for children under 13. If we learn that we've collected data from a child under 13, we'll delete it immediately.

7. Data Retention

We keep your data as long as your account exists. If you want your account and all associated data deleted, just email us at support@joinpriority.app and we'll handle it.

8. Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including secure hosting, access controls, and encryption in transit. No system is ever 100% secure, and we can't promise perfection, but we work to keep your information safe and we're always improving here.

9. Where Your Data Lives

Priority is operated from the United States, and the providers we use to run it store and process data in the United States and other countries where they operate. By using Priority, you understand your information may be processed in those locations.

10. If Something Goes Wrong

We hope it never happens, but if there's ever a data breach that affects your information, we'll let you know promptly and do what's required of us under the law. We'd rather be upfront with you than quiet.

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make significant changes, we'll notify you by email.

Google & Google Calendar

Introduction

At Priority, we care deeply about your privacy. This policy explains how we access, use, store, and protect your information when you connect your Google Calendar account to our platform.

1. Information We Access

When you authorize the Google Calendar integration, we access the following:

• Calendar Event Information: Event titles, descriptions, start and end times, locations, and calendar IDs.
• Attendee Details: Names and email addresses of invited attendees (if applicable).
• Your Email Address: To link your Google Calendar to your Priority account.

2. How We Use This Information

• To display your existing events within the Priority interface.
• To help you schedule new events based on your availability and preferences.
• To suggest smart time blocks for your unscheduled tasks.
• To maintain accuracy with attendee information and event updates.

3. Data Retention

Your calendar data is securely stored while your Google Calendar integration remains active.

If you disconnect your Google Calendar from Priority, all related calendar data, including event and attendee information, will be deleted from our servers within 24 hours.

4. How to Disconnect Access

You can revoke Priority's access to your Google Calendar at any time by:

• Going to Settings > Integrations > Google Calendar within the Priority app and selecting "Disconnect."
• Visiting your Google Account's permissions page at https://myaccount.google.com/permissions and removing Priority's access manually.

5. Data Security

We use industry-standard encryption, secure storage, and access control to protect your information. Calendar data is never sold or shared with third-party advertisers.

6. Compliance

Priority's use of Google Calendar APIs complies with:

• The Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
• Standard OAuth 2.0 authentication protocols to ensure secure access to your account.
• The use of raw or derived user data received from Workspace APIs will adhere to the Google User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
